1. Treatments & results

Body sculpting increases the flow of the lymphatic and circulatory systems and helps cleanse the tissues. Please be aware these are inch-loss treatments, not weight-loss treatments. Alongside inch loss, body sculpting is also used to help diminish the appearance of cellulite and tighten the skin. Clients may lose 1–3 inches per treatment, though benefits can be delayed for some people, and inches may return if previous habits resume. A balanced diet, regular exercise and drinking around eight glasses of water per day are recommended, and we suggest avoiding sugar and alcohol for two days after treatment.

2. Eligibility & precautions

For your safety, treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a lymphatic disorder, acute illness, metal implants, a pacemaker, or are currently being treated for active cancer. You are advised to speak with your doctor before making any decisions about altering a current medical regimen, changing your diet, taking supplements, or starting an exercise or weight-loss program. Obtaining your doctor's approval before starting any treatment is solely your responsibility.

3. Risks & acknowledgements

It is not possible to list every potential risk and complication. By proceeding with treatment you acknowledge that you have been informed of possible benefits, risks and complications, including but not limited to redness, swelling, irritation, pain, increased heart rate, increased bowel movements and increased urination. Treatments are non-invasive and you should feel no discomfort — please notify your technician immediately if you do.

You acknowledge that results are not guaranteed and that individual outcomes depend on factors such as age, skin condition and lifestyle, and that you may require further treatment of the treated areas to achieve the expected results, at an additional cost.

4. Medical disclosure & liability

It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical information prior to treatment. Melbourne Skin & Body cannot be held liable for any future unknown or undisclosed medical issues. By proceeding, you agree that additional treatments and technology devices may be recommended to reach your desired results; we will advise you before any additional treatment is purchased.

5. Payments, refunds & credits

If a change in medical or personal circumstances arises after a purchase, resulting in you being unable to complete a pre-paid service, the service may be exchanged for a different service or a store credit issued. Melbourne Skin & Body does not provide refunds for changes in medical or personal circumstances, and does not provide refunds for products or services as a result of a change of mind.

6. Cancellation & no-show policy

We operate a 48-hour cancellation policy. A no-show, or any cancellation or reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, will incur a fee equal to the cost of that session.

7. Feedback, complaints & dispute resolution

We care about your experience and are committed to resolving any concern fairly, professionally and promptly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your service, treatment, results, billing or your experience with our team, we want to hear about it so we have the chance to make it right.

We ask — but do not require — that you contact us directly at melbourneskinandbody@gmail.com or 0422 452 957 before sharing your concern elsewhere, so we can investigate and respond as quickly as possible. You remain free at all times to leave an honest review of your experience or to raise the matter with any relevant authority.

Where a concern cannot be resolved with us directly, you may contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the relevant industry body. Nothing in these terms requires you to delay, withhold, or obtain our approval before publishing an honest review or making a complaint.

Your consumer rights. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law; where any term is inconsistent with those rights, the law prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.
